The state cabinet which met here under chairmanship of CM Mufti Mohammad Sayeed early Monday condemned the Udhampur communal mob attack.
The attack resulted in death of one young Zahid Rasool Bhat whose body was flown to Srinagar on Sunday afternoon.
Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed moved the resolution condemning the October 9/10 Hindu mob attack at Shiv Nagar in Udhampur district in Jammu region.
The cabinet also observed a two minute silence as a mark of respect for the departed soul.
As already announced, the Cabinet approved ex-gratia relief of Rs five lakh and a government job to the next of the kin of the deceased youth.
The PDP-BJP coalition government also appreciated people of the state for maintaining peace and calm in this hour of loss and grief.
