Indian Maritime University (IMU), Chennai Wednesday revealed that it has reserved 10 seats in an academic year in Under Graduate Programmes for the students of Jammu and Kashmir or those domicile in the state for at least five years.

“It is informed that only those candidates shall be eligible for the reservation who have cleared IMU’s Common Entrance Test (CET),” the statement issued by IMU said. “The reserved seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates based on their CET rank and their preferences for the UG Course /IMU Campuses.”

It is also informed that if the reserved seats are not filled up in a given academic year, they shall not be carried over to the next academic year and the unfilled seats shall be filled up from the general list of CET passed candidates.

The advertisement for IMU’s CET 2015 has been issued on February 22 and the last date for applying is April 22, 2015.
