The government on Saturday said as many as 1298 structures including residential raised beyond 200 meters from the fringe of Dal Lake without permission have been demolished by the Anti encroachment wing of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority in Srinagar till December last.
A minister informed that the state assembly that 1370 houses and structures have been raised without permission. Demolitions apart, 72 police cases were registered against defaulters whose constructions came up in the notified and green belt areas.
