A 37-year old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside her house in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Official sources told GNS that Amandeep Kour wife of Jitender Singh of Khodinad, Poonch was found hanged today morning. The family members including the two daughters of the deceased raised hue and cry after they spotted their mother’s body hanging.
In the meantime, the neighbours rushed to their house and finally informed the concerned police station about the incident, they said.
The police team later took the body of the victim to district hospital for postmortem and after conducting all the necessary formalities, the body was handed over to the next of her kin’s for last rites.
Kour was an English Lecturer by profession and was posted at Government Higher secondary school Poonch.
Meanwhile, the concerned SHO confirmed the incident to GNS and said that they have registered a case under 174 CrPc and started further investigations in this regard.
