Accused of murder in 2008 Kishtwar riots, right wing BJP MLA took oath of office and secrecy as minister in PDP-BJP government on Monday.
Sunil Kumar Sharma is a BJP MLA from Kishtwar. He was named as accused by police under an FIR number 133/2008 U/S 7/27 Arms Act, 302, 436, 188,435,336,149,153 RPC in 2008 Kishtwar communal riots.
The police noted that Sharma was a member of the group that had allegedly attacked people from the other community, killing two persons and leaving several others injured during the communal clashes.
