SRINAGAR: A cache of arms and ammunition was recovered during a joint search operation by the police and Army in the Hatlanga area of Uri Sector in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday morning.
Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that a joint team of police and the Indian Army launched a search operation in the area, during which they recovered two AK-56 rifles, two AK-56 magazines, 256 AK-56 rounds, one pistol with two magazines, five hand grenades, three packets of cigarettes and a black bag.
Police have taken cognisance of the recovery and further investigation is underway.
