Army on Wednesday said it has intensified its operation against militants hiding in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, a day after a commanding officer died during a search operation.
Helicopters and para-commandos have been pressed into service in Wanigah forests.
“The search operation has been spread over a large area to ensure that all escape routes of the terrorists are plugged,” a media report quoting sources said.
