SRINAGAR: Aspire Heritage School, a Cambridge-affiliated institution known for its inquiry-based and project-driven education, has strengthened its commitment to environmental sustainability by organising a plantation drive in collaboration with the Urban Forestry Division, Srinagar.

Under the theme “Nurturing Nature, Securing the Future,” the event aimed to instil environmental consciousness among students. It was attended by Dr Sheema Shah, Director of Aspire Heritage School, alongside Principal Abida Kirmani, Vice Principal Arjumand Mushtaq, and the school’s faculty. Also present were Dr Mehraj Ahmad Sheikh, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the Urban Forestry Division, and other officials.
Dr Sheema Shah emphasised the crucial role of educational institutions in fostering a sense of responsibility towards environmental preservation. She highlighted the importance of tree conservation and ecological balance and called for sustainability to be an integral part of education to cultivate environmentally conscious citizens.
Students, teachers, and officials participated enthusiastically in the plantation drive, reflecting a shared commitment to a greener and healthier future.
