An explosive device exploded at the encounter site at Lower Munda area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, while locals were clearing the debris resulting in injuring five persons.
The injured have been identified as Aakash Ayoub Rather son of Mohammad Ayoub Rather, resident of Badermuna, Sameer Ahmad Beigh son of Mohammad Sidiq Beigh, Mehraan Showket son of Showket Ahmad Ganie, Zubair Ahmad Shah son of Syed Abdul Ali and Khurshid Ahmad residents of Lowermunda.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment who from some were referred to GMC Anantnag, local sources said.
