Brief Rain Spells Likely at Isolated to Scattered Places in Jammu Kashmir: MeT

   

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir is likely to experience largely dry weather over the next 12 days, with brief spells of rain expected at isolated to scattered places, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar said on Wednesday.

According to the forecast, September 9-12 is expected to remain generally dry, although isolated areas may receive brief spells of rain.

Between September 13 and 16, brief spells of rain or thundershowers are likely at scattered places, particularly during the early morning and afternoon hours, MeT said.

The weather is forecast to remain generally dry again from September 17 to 20, with the possibility of brief rain at isolated locations.

In its advisory, the Meteorological Centre advised farmers to continue apple and paddy harvesting, along with other agricultural operations.

The forecast covers the period from September 9 to 20, according to the MeT.
