A youth has succumbed to his injuries in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
A police official whishing anonymity told Current News Service (CNS) that on Saturday night a procession was taken out by people at Kolpora Kulgam against the killing of Hizb militant Burhan Wani.
“The agitated youth resorted to stone-pelting while tear-gas canisters were used to disperse the protesters. A youth Zubair Ahmed Khanday received a bullet and succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning,” he said adding that “it is not clear yet who fired upon the youth”.
Reports said that Kolpora village is on boil after death of the youth. Heavy security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order in the town.
