SRINAGAR: The  Government on Friday informed that 159 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 36 from Jammu division and 123 from Kashmir division, have been reported today, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 323951. Also, one Covid death has been reported from Jammu Division.

Moreover, 126 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 64 from Jammu Division and 62 from Kashmir Division.

Besides this, 61.51 percent of the population above the age of 18 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Bulletin also informs that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 43 in the UT of J&K.

According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 323951 positive cases, 1141 are Active Positive, 318409 have recovered and 4401 have died; 2161 in Jammu division and 2240 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 12812781 test results available, 12488830 samples have been tested as negative till today.

Till date 3108370 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 8692 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 1141 in isolation and 416092 in home surveillance. Besides, 2678044 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 71923 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 255 Active Positive, 70834 recovered (including 16 cases recovered today), 834 deaths; Baramulla has 23794 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 72 Active Positive, 23440 recovered (including 72 cases recovered today), 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23050 positive cases (including 04 cases reported today) with 63 active positive cases, 22781 recovered (including 09 cases recovered today), 206 deaths; Pulwama has 15274 positive cases with 29 Active Positive, 15051 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14192 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today), 47 Active Positive, 13979 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today), 166 deaths;  Anantnag district has 16414 positive cases (including 25 cases reported today) with 54 Active Positive, 16155 recovered and 205 deaths;  Bandipora has 9586 positive cases (including 11 cases reported today), with 56 Active Positive, 9430 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 10058 positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 68 Active Positive, 9912 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered today) and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11389 positive cases (including 22 cases reported today) with 67 Active Positive, 11205 recoveries (including 05 cases recovered today) and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5592 positive cases with 05 active positive cases, 5529 recoveries and 58 deaths.

Similarly, Jammu has 52947 positive cases (including 10 cases reported today) with 107 active positive cases, 51698 recoveries (including 15 cases recovered today), 1142 deaths; Udhampur has 11374 positive cases with 25 active positive cases, 11212 recoveries (including 06 cases recovered today) and 137 deaths; Rajouri has 11060 positive cases (including 06 cases reported today) with 58 active positive, 10771 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered today) and 231 deaths; Doda has 7454 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 66 Active positive, 7259 recovered (including 19 cases recovered today) and 129 deaths; Kathua has 9275 positive cases with 04 active positive cases, 9120 recovered  and 151 deaths; Samba has 7133 positive cases  with 06 active positive cases, 7007 recoveries  and 120 deaths; Kishtwar has 4722 positive cases with 32 Active Positive, 4646 recoveries (including 02 cases recovered today)  and 44 deaths;  Poonch has 6302 positive cases with 26 active positive, 6179 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today)  and 97 deaths;  Ramban has 5984 positive cases with 08 active positive cases, 5909 recoveries and 67 deaths while Reasi has 6428 positive cases with 93 active positive cases, 6292 recoveries and 43 deaths.

According to the bulletin, among the total 323951 positive cases in J&K, 23097 have been reported as travelers while 300854 as others.

The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.

The bulletin added that there are 2423 COVID dedicated beds, 2019 Isolation beds with 1989 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 397 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 3043 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 254 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5776 COVID dedicated beds, 5093 Isolation beds with 5032 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 651 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
