At least ten persons were injured in South Kashmir when clashes erupted in Vessu area.

Correspondent reports said that responding to the call of united resistance leadership people took out a rally in Vessu area after Asr prayers.

The resistance leadership had asked males to hold protests after Asr prayers. “Forces have come to area dispersing off the rally using tear gas canisters,” reports said.

The reports said that at least ten persons were injured in the clashes as youths resorted to stone pelting.

“Three pellet hit persons were brought to district hospital Islamabad,” a doctor said, “they have multiple pellet injuries in chest, back and legs.”

Meanwhile, reports added that people from adjacent villages were marching towards Vessu in solidarity.
