During zero hour in the assembly, Er Rashid — the only face of opposition left in the house, lodged another protest with speaker Kavinder Gupta, saying his bill was deliberately sabotaged for buying a time to avoid discussion on it.

While displaying the bill, the lawmaker moved into the well where he was stopped by the marshals.

“Mine was the first bill to be submitted in the assembly,” Er Rashid said. “But just to do away with discussion on it, it has been slated on number 17 for the discussion.”

Rashid said that opposition as well as the treasury benches are literally in league to prevent any discussion on Section 35A. He said the opposition NC should not have stayed away of the house and instead should have fought in the houses for the discussion on the bill that is vital for the constitutional of the state.
