SRINAGAR: Three residential houses were completely gutted in a fire that broke out during the midnight hours at Khan Mohalla in the Gurwait area of Khansahib in Budgam district, leaving six families homeless.
The blaze engulfed the houses during the night, causing extensive damage to the residential structures, household belongings and other property kept inside.
The fire prompted residents to rush to the spot as the flames spread through the locality. Locals joined efforts to contain the fire and prevent it from causing further damage to surrounding properties.
The destruction of the three houses has left six families without homes, with their household possessions also damaged in the blaze.
The incident has caused substantial disruption for the affected families, who were left without shelter after their residences were completely damaged.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and registered a case.
