Four Officers Retained in Jammu Kashmir, Replacements Deputed to Ladakh in Administrative Reshuffle

   

JAMMU: In a fresh administrative reshuffle, the Jammu and Kashmir government has modified a previous order and retained four officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) in the Union Territory, cancelling their earlier deputation to Ladakh. In their place, four other officers have now been deputed to Ladakh for two years.

Rakesh Dubey, serving as Joint Registrar, Cooperatives (Banking and Finance), has been retained in Jammu and Kashmir. He was initially among the officers transferred to the Union Territory of Ladakh under an earlier order dated February 27, 2025.

Abdul Qyume, posted as Deputy Secretary in the Housing and Urban Development Department, is also among those whose deputation has now been cancelled. He will continue in his current role within Jammu and Kashmir.

Mir Dawar Habib, a Junior Scale JKAS officer currently serving as Block Development Officer (BDO) in Naidkhai, will remain at his present posting. His services were earlier placed at the disposal of the Ladakh administration but have now been retained.

Bhushan Kumar Singh, another Junior Scale JKAS officer, serving as BDO in Thathri, Doda, has similarly been retained in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

In consequence, the services of four other officers have been placed at the disposal of the Union Territory of Ladakh, on deputation. Shafiq Ahmad, Project Officer for Wage Employment (ACD), Poonch, will now serve in Ladakh for two years or until recalled.

Jahangeer Akhone, posted as Tehsildar, Khansahib, has also been deputed to Ladakh. His lien and promotion prospects will remain with the General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir.

Rajat Sudan, a Junior Scale JKAS officer serving as BDO in Moungri, is another officer shifted to Ladakh as part of this reshuffle. He, like the others, has been relieved with immediate effect and directed to report to the Ladakh administration.

Akeel Sajjad, BDO Changa, has also been deputed to Ladakh under similar terms. All four officers are entitled to avail of incentives that may be provided by the Ladakh administration in due course.

The order was issued by M. Raju, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, and takes effect immediately.
