A quiz organised by Mohammadiya Institution Shopian on topic “Science and Technology” concluded Thursday.

The quiz, as per the organisers, was held in continuation with their science awareness programme 2015.

Students from twelve schools participated in the competition.

“The students were quizzed about the science, technology and other issues related to the science,” said Principal of the school, Mansoor Ahmad Bhat, who acted as observer of the session. “There were five students in each group. The quiz was spread over two rounds.”

Farooq Ahmad Bhat of the institution presented the introductory note while Saba Yaqoob was the quiz master. Zubair Ahmad and Sameer Ahmad acted as score analysts.

At the end, Mohammadiya Institute emerged as winner while as Knowledge Quaff Institute Mantribugh & New Green Land Educational Institute bagged second and third position respectively. The top three winners were awarded with trophies and certificates, presented by the principal of the hosting School.

Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Ghulam Mohammad Dar was the chief guest who presented trophies to three teachers of the schools namely Mudasir Rashid, Bilal Ahmad and Rayees Ahmad of the same school for their outstanding performance.

On this occasion, Kashmir Life announced free one year subscription to all the three position holders of the competition.
