Srinagar: The students of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora on Thursday held massive protests against the killing of a minor girl in Kupwara district in northern part of Kashmir yesterday.
The students assembled inside the campus and held a demonstration to denounce the killing of minor girl Kaneeza who police said died after being hit by a “stray bullet” near the site of gunfight. Three militants were killed in the gunfight that raged for hours in Hyhama village of the district yesterday.
