This follows the Jammu and Kashmir High Court’s 2021 decision to transfer JKCA’s management to BCCI and revise its constitution per the Lodha Committee’s recommendations, Excelsior reported.

In June 2021, BCCI appointed a Sub-Committee, including Brigadier Anil Gupta, cricketer Mithun Manhas, and advocate Sunil Sethi, to draft a transparent and accountable framework. Though BCCI approved it after consultations, registration was delayed due to objections from affiliated clubs.

The Supreme Court has now dismissed these objections, confirming the BCCI-approved constitution as final and allowing elections to proceed.

The registration process was stalled, but with the Supreme Court’s intervention, it will now move forward.
