SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has amended the delegation of financial powers by including the Director, Press, JK in the category of major heads of departments under the existing classification of officers.
The amendment has been issued by the Finance Department (Codes Division) through a notification under Section 67 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019.
According to the notification, a new entry—”143. Director, Press, JK”—has been inserted in Annexure-II under the heading “Classification of Officers” and the sub-heading “Major Heads of Departments” in the delegation of financial powers notified through S.O. 58 dated December 31, 2019.
The notification states that the amendment forms part of the delegation of financial powers framework issued under S.O. 58 of 2019, which has been revised from time to time.
With the inclusion of the Director, Press, JK in the list of major heads of departments, the post will exercise the financial powers delegated under the relevant provisions of the government order, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
