SRINAGAR: The JK Samadhan 2.0 portal has registered a significant milestone with over 13,08,759 citizen registrations to date, reflecting growing public trust and participation in the Union Territory’s grievance redressal mechanism, according to official figures revealed during a high-level review chaired by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo.
Data presented in the meeting showed a remarkable surge in registrations in recent months. As of January 4, 2025, the portal had only 12,932 users, which rose to 3,49,826 by February 5, 2025. A staggering 9,46,001 new registrations were recorded in the past two months alone. Registrations had shown a steady rise since July 2024, when the portal had merely 1,429 users.
The review session, attended by senior officials including the Secretary of Public Grievances and Administrative Secretaries of various departments, evaluated the performance of the portal in addressing public issues. Deputy Commissioners from all districts joined virtually.
The Chief Secretary reiterated that the success of JK Samadhan lies not only in the volume of grievances lodged but also in the quality and timeliness of their resolution. He stressed that no grievance should remain unresolved beyond 30 days, and that delays must be investigated and accountability fixed.
As of April 30, 2025, the portal has received 53,342 grievances, of which 39,971—approximately 75—have been successfully resolved. The remaining 13,371 complaints are under active departmental review for quality disposal.
Dulloo called upon departments to analyse patterns in complaints and use the portal for strengthening public service delivery. He further advocated for the integration of advanced features, such as AI-driven classification tools and heat maps, to enable data-backed decision-making and targeted responses.
He also directed intensified awareness campaigns, including bulk SMS outreach and public meetings, to increase citizen engagement, particularly in underrepresented districts. A goal has been set to have at least one member from every household registered on the portal.
The Chief Secretary also participated in a live demonstration of JK Samadhan 2.0, appreciating recent technological upgrades and recommending collaboration with BISAG-N for further enhancements.
Secretary, Public Grievances, Aijaz Asad, who briefed the meeting, said that JK Samadhan stands as a model of digital and accountable governance. With over 13 lakh citizens engaged and three-fourths of all grievances resolved, the portal has become a reliable channel for the public to voice concerns and seek redressal across Jammu and Kashmir.
