SRINAGAR: A high-profile delegation of Jammu and Kashmir NC leaders, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, is set to return home on Saturday after completing the holy pilgrimage of Umrah.
The delegation included National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah, Minister Javaid Dar, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani, and NC MLAs Mushtaq Guroo and Tanvir Sadiq. They are expected to land in Delhi before heading back to Jammu and Kashmir.
The pilgrimage, a spiritually significant journey for Muslims, was marked by collective prayers for the peace and prosperity of the region.
“We will reach Delhi on Saturday,” Nasir Aslam Wani said. “We prayed for everlasting peace, prosperity, and happiness for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
Minister Javaid Dar shared similar sentiments, expressing that his prayers were for the collective welfare and harmony of the region. NC MLAs Tanvir Sadiq and Mushtaq Guroo added that they sought the Almighty’s blessings to bring happiness to the people of J&K, to ease their worries, and to ensure lasting peace.
The delegation’s pilgrimage and their heartfelt prayers reflect their commitment to the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Their journey symbolises a hope for a future defined by stability, harmony, and progress in the region. (With KINS inputs)
