SRINAGAR: One person was killed and two others were injured on Tuesday after a car plunged into a gorge in the Chowki Choura area of Akhnoor in Jammu district.
Officials said the accident occurred on the highway when a car bearing registration number JK11A-4854 skidded off the road and fell into a gorge.
The deceased has been identified as Raju Sharma, son of Dev Raj, a resident of Kalakote.
The injured have been identified as Roshan Lal, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Kangri Beripattan, and Tushar Raina, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Kalakote.
Both injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and initiated further investigation. (GNS)
