Daring opposition to debate about the efficacy of article 370, BJP’s Prime Ministerial Candidate Narendra Modi during his first rally in Jammu castigated the government on various issues. Not only mainstream, Modi during his speech slammed separatist leadership as well. In Jam packed M A Stadium of Jammu which officials say have capacity of 40000, Modi reiterated to fulfill the dream of senior BJP leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Insaniyat, jamooriyat and Kashmiriyat. People from distant parts of state travelled to hear the speech of Narendra modi In Jammu. The main factor which many believe was ‘curiosity’ that what the man who is accused of Gujrat carnage has to offer .
Accompanied by party top brass including President Rajnath Singh, Modi waving to audience. Before his arrival, there was an accidental explosion in Jammu which killed two and injured many.
Packed to capacity, the audience was all ears to ‘Hindu nationalist’ who spoke about everything, right from condemning Pakistan to empowering people to become self reliant.
People from different sections had their individual attire. Modi while tracing roots of Gujjar community said that,’ they actually belong to his native place Gujrat’. He also said that his early career of politics started from Jammu.
Modi did the reverse. He talked about the unity.“I want to challenge those who have survived on politics of division whether they have courage to accept the truth,” Modi said. “We should have only one religion: Nation first. There should be only one religious text: the Constitution,” he added
