SRINAGAR: Police in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district have attached immovable properties worth approximately Rs 1 crore belonging to two persons accused in a narcotics case involving the recovery of 200 kilograms of Fukki, as part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt JK Campaign.
According to police, the attached properties comprise two residential houses owned by Javid Ahmad Dar, son of Bashir Ahmad Dar, and Parvez Ahmad Dar, son of Bashir Ahmad Dar, both residents of Kujjar village in Kulgam district.
Police said the two accused are involved in a narcotics case in which 200 kg of Fukki, a poppy derivative, was recovered from their possession during the investigation.
The attachment of the immovable properties, valued at around Rs 1 crore, was carried out as part of the continuing drive against narcotics trafficking and the dismantling of assets allegedly linked to drug-related offences under the ongoing anti-drug campaign in Jammu and Kashmir.
Police reiterated their commitment to taking stringent action against drug trafficking and targeting assets suspected to have been acquired through the illicit narcotics trade.
