SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah reiterated his government’s commitment to resolving public grievances, emphasising that service to people remains the central focus of governance.
During a public outreach programme held for the second consecutive day at the Raabita Office in Srinagar, the Chief Minister said addressing citizens’ concerns is a duty, not merely an administrative responsibility. “We are duty-bound to resolve all genuine issues of our citizens with empathy and urgency,” he said.
The Chief Minister emphasised that governance must be based on active listening, engagement, and timely redressal. “Voices from every corner of Jammu and Kashmir will be heard, respected and acted upon with sincerity,” he added.
Throughout the day, the Chief Minister met several public delegations and individuals. The inhabitants of Government Housing Colony, Ompora, Budgam raised civic concerns under the Housing Board. Delegations from both factions of the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation flagged issues facing the trader community.
The J& Private Empanelled Hospitals and Dialysis Centres Association discussed private healthcare challenges. A deputation from the All India Fair Price Shop Dealers Federation sought resolution of long-pending demands.
The Chairman of the Industrial Growth Centre, Lassipora, raised matters related to infrastructure and policy at the Lassipora Industrial Estate. A delegation from Srinagar Municipal Corporation discussed service conditions, while the All J&K Panchayat Secretaries Association raised concerns over career progression and regularisation.
Residents from Nishat, Srinagar brought up land and civic issues. Several individuals also presented personal and community matters.
The Chief Minister assured that all concerns would be addressed through a responsive and people-first approach.
