MLA Langate and chairperson AIP (Awami Itehad Party), Er Rasheed was on Thursday detained by police at Domana near Rajouri while he was on way to attend a public meeting in Kalakote Rajouri.
Shortly after his detention RSS workers gathered outside the police station threatening the incumbent lawmaker while raising slogans like, “Gau mata ka apmaan karne wale ko, qatal karo qatal ko (Kill the one who has disrespected Holy cow) & Pakistani agent, Hai Hai (Down with the Pakistan’s agent).”
The PRO of Rasheed, Inam-un-Nabi, while taking to Kashmir Life, accused that SHO at police station Domana stopped them and after passing of almost one hour, he said that some RSS workers had assembled outside the police station, Inam said.
“SHO Domana called us and asked us to come over for a casual chat. But when we went there, he illegitimately detained us and called the RSS goons to assemble outside the police station,” Rasheed told Kashmir Life.
He also accused that police has made a nexus with right-winged RSS. “SHO deliberately did it because they want me dead,” he said.
