At GMC Jammu, Sharma met with the injured and their families, directing the medical staff to ensure uninterrupted care and necessary support. He assured victims of the government’s commitment to providing medical treatment and rehabilitation.

Later, the minister visited Milan Di Khui, Kachrial, Thanger, Khour Camp, Khour Bazar, Nalriana, Nai Basti and RD Resort, where several displaced families from Gigrial, Garar, Sainth and adjoining border villages are currently sheltered.

Sharma reviewed the situation on the ground and instructed local authorities to ensure provision of essential services, including food, sanitation, health care, and temporary housing. He called for a humane and responsive approach in dealing with the affected population.

Highlighting long-term measures, Sharma said the government under Omar Abdullah’s leadership is working on strengthening bunker infrastructure, restoring essential supplies, and improving emergency communication systems in border areas.

“The government stands firmly with every affected citizen. We are committed to ensuring their safety, dignity, and continued support,” he said.
