Jannat, a student of SRMLK Higher Secondary School, tells the story of educational achievement and the power of discipline, devotion, and purpose. Having memorised the entire Quran in her childhood—a feat that demands exceptional focus and mental fortitude—Jannat has proven that religious commitment can coexist with, and even enhance, academic success.

“Success demands discipline, not books,” she told a news gatherer, explaining how the rigour of becoming a Hafiza helped her cultivate habits of time management and self-restraint, particularly in a digital age full of distractions. “Being a Hafiza taught me to stay away from social media and remain focused. Those values carried over into my studies.”

As the JKBOSE announced an overall pass percentage of 75 per cent for the Higher Secondary Part Two (Class 12) Annual Examination 2025, with girls outperforming boys significantly, Jannat’s achievement stands out for more than just marks. Among the 30,622 students who achieved distinction, she represents a deeper story of purpose-led learning.

With a maturity far beyond her years, Jannat extended words of compassion to students who did not pass. “They should not lose hope. The world is big, and life offers many opportunities. Inshallah, success will be theirs with determination and faith in Allah,” she said.

She also offered a word of humility to fellow high-achievers. “This result is not the end—it’s a step. We must keep on trying, be humble, and use our success for something good.”

Jannat credits her parents, teachers, and religious upbringing for the achievement. “My parents’ duas and my teachers’ encouragement gave me strength. I thank Allah for providing me the strength to balance Quran and studies.”

In an age often characterised by noise and short attention spans, Jannat Shabir Rawa’s story is a quiet but powerful reminder of what integrity, faith, and focus can yield—an achievement not just of marks, but of meaning. (With KB Inputs)
