Textile factory gutted in massive fire in Ganderbal

A massive fire gutted two textile factories on Friday evening in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Sources said that fire erupted in ‘New Mushtaq Textiles’ owned by Mushtaq Ahmed Malik of Serch Ganderbal at industrial estate Ganderbal and engulfed the adjoining structures including another textile factory ‘JK Wool Textiles’.
They said that fire tenders and police rushed to the spot to douse the flames and after hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case in this regard and investigation has been taken up.
The cause of the fire has not yet ascertained.
