SRINAGAR: A 57-year-old woman was found dead in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday afternoon.
Quoting sources, Kashmir Scroll reported that a female body was discovered in the Power Canal Haknar Gund area of Kangan by local residents. Subsequently, the police were notified.
Upon arrival at the scene, the police transported the body to the nearby Kangan hospital for medical procedures.
Meanwhile, a police officer said that the deceased woman has been identified as Haseena Begam, an anganwadi worker.
“A case concerning this matter has been registered, and further investigation has commenced,” he said. (KS)
