US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has won the US president elections.

Trump defeated Democratic Party candidate Hilary Clinton, scoring 276 seats compared to Hilary’s 218.

Trump’s victory is regarded as “one of the most improbable political victories in modern US history.”

Earlier, rightwing Indian expats held events and rallies in favour of Donald Trump.

Experts in India believe that for India’s Foreign Policy, Trump’s victory is a blessing as “south block will find it easy to make deals with USA’s Trump government”.

A Hilary Clinton win was seen as an impediment for Prime Minister Modi’s plan of hyphenating Pakistan. An analyst wrote in Business Standard, “Trump administration would be less prickly about human rights violations by Indian security forces in Kashmir”.

No sooner Trump’s victory was announced, Telegraph reported that Canadian government’s official website crashed as masses thronged on the site to look for the citizen criteria. Americans Googled ‘how do I emigrate?’ In fact, on social media, several netizens termed the Trump’s triumph as “end of the world.”

But in India, Trump’s victory has already triggered ‘happy vibes’ with many publications terming it good news for Delhi and bad news for Islamabad and Beijing.

“Turned Youtube off. Signing off Twitter. Scared shitless for me and my wife who’ve lived in this country 14 years (13 for her). Good night,” tweets Ahsan Butt, a professor of politics at George Mason University of Pakistani origin.
