SRINAGAR: The Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation is providing 12-month fellowships for German Chancellor Fellow with a grant of 2,170 EUR or 2,470 EUR or 2,770 EUR per month depending on the applicant’s qualification and professional experience.

The fellowship also provides mobility allowance, contribution to health and liability insurance, and family allowance for accompanying family members. Besides that, it also provides an additional language fellowship that covers an intensive language course of up to 3-months immediately prior to the start of the fellowship in Germany.

The applicants must possess citizenship of Brazil, China, India, South Africa, or the United States and they should have worked in a field such as politics, business, media, administration, society, or culture.

In addition to the research activity, the fellowship seeks initial leadership experience. The aspirants should have completed their first academic degree (Bachelor’s or comparable degree) in no more than before 12-years.

Candidates can apply online before October 15, 2022.

The documents required for application include a letter of motivation, a project plan, an extensive statement (including mentoring agreement from a host in Germany), and two letters of recommendation. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to applicants on the reception of all required documents.

The selected candidates will be invited to a selection meeting in their respective country of origin where they will have an opportunity to present themselves and their report.

The selection meeting is scheduled to be in the month of April 2023. The Humboldt Foundation invites approximately 18 pre-selected candidates from each of the six countries to an interview and Group discussion in their respective countries.
