Terming the court direction to government to ban sale of beef in Jammu and Kashmir as a “right decision”, senior BJP leader and speaker of Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta Thursday said that special session of LA on the issue can be called in only if government thinks so.
“I think the Ban on beef from Jammu and Kashmir High Court is a good thing. We should follow the decision. It is in the interest of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Gupta told KNS over phone. He said that a special session of Legislative Assembly on the issue of amending state constitution for preventing HC order from implementation can be called in only if government recommends so.
