SRINAGAR: The last date of application to National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) – Class 8th has been extended up to October 20, 2022. Students from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh can apply.
The scholarship is organized by JKBOSE. It is for Class 8th students who have qualified seventh class with 55 per cent marks. There is a 5 per cent relaxation for SC and ST. A total of Rs 12000 per annum will be paid in one go. Applicants should have a parental income of Rs 3.5 lac per annum.
Examination for the scholarship will be conducted on December 14, 2022. It will comprise two tests, Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Each one will have 90 MCQs of 90 minutes each. As many as 1091 students will be selected through the examination for the scholarship.
