After “clear cut” directions from the state and union government to act tough against the “miscreants” involved in “anti-national” activities and “who act as a instigators to provoke youths”, J&K police are finalizing a list of the “miscreants” involved in such activities on the eve of Eid-al-Azha.
The accused who were already booked in various FIRs are likely to face the arrest in coming days.
As per the details available with Kashmir Life, police are scrutinizing the video and photographic evidences of the Eid procession where some people raised anti-India and pro-freedom slogans beside provoked youths.
A senior police officer while confirming the developments to Kashmir Life said, “there was no question of not registering any FIR against the miscreants involved in rising anti-India and pro-freedom slogans before Eid Namaz and during the procession that follows after Eid Namaz which was attended by more than 22000 people who arrived from various areas of Kishtwar district.”
“These miscreants by involving in such act tried to create unrest among such huge number of people who had arrived at Eidgah to offer the Eid Namaz with peace and religious integrity,” the cop said, “police are taking time in identifying the real culprits behind rising such slogans.”
In a question regarding any arrest so far, the said police officer said, “law takes its own course.” However, he didn’t rule out arrest of the accused named in previous FIRs or whose names surfaced during investigation of Eid procession.
Police officials further informed that in addition to earlier one, another list of government employees involved in anti-India activities who took part in protests has been prepared with the joint efforts of various intelligence agencies and said, “action in this regard will be set into motion in next few days.”
Senior police officials also issued warning to those involved in “anti-national activities” saying, “all the culprits will face music of law in coming days.”
