Stressing on the registration of tuition centers  divisional commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon has directed all private tuition centers functioning in Kashmir division to get registered with the directorate of education before January 31, 2013. Samoon convened a meeting of officers on Saturday to regulate and streamline the functioning of private tuition centers in Kashmir division.

As per a statement, threadbare discussions were held to regulate the private tuition centers and about the facilities to be made available to the students in these centers.

It was decided in the meeting that every private tuition center shall maintain an admission register indicating detailed particulars of the candidates and shall notify and display monthly tuition fee charged from students. Besides, it was also enjoined upon the representatives of private tuition centers that adequate accommodation and separate waiting room, toilet in addition to the separate drinking water facilities for female candidates in their tuition centers shall be ensured within week’s time. They were also directed to ensure proper heating arrangements in the tuition centers immediately.

Dvisional commissioner has also directed all chief education officers to submit the report about the availability of these facilities being made available in tuition centers to the concerned district magistrates within 15 days and were also authorized to monitor their registration of respective districts. It was also decided that the students of the tuition centers shall be issued identity cards by the concerned tuition centers within 15 days.

It was also exhorted upon the representatives of tuition centers to maintain proper teacher-student ratio in their centers  While as the director school education Kashmir has been directed to submit the list of teachers of school education department carrying out tuition in the private tuition centers  Divisional commissioner also directed deputy commissioner Srinagar to work out parking slots on cluster basis in consultation with superintendent of police traffic, Srinagar.

Dr. Samoon has also exhorted upon the concerned to inculcate morale values among the students by imparting moral education besides stressed for quality education to enable them to compete at national as well as international levels.
