As guns started raging down South, tension gripped and journalists made beeline to cover the encounter between forces and militants in Ratnipora area of Pulwama district. With an intention to capture the armed actions, Bilal Bahadur drove to Pulwama Sunday afternoon. He returned late this evening with the visuals of final journey of a promising MA girl student. This day consumed three young lives – two students and a militant

Relatives walling over the demise of their beloved Shaista: An intelligent daughter, Shaista will be remembered for her decency and intellect. Shaista was an inspiration  who set an example in her area by continuing pursue her education while helping her mother at the hearth.

Shaista was second in her siblings. He elder brother is an employee while her younger brother is pursuing engineering.

Bidding Adieu: Little did her parents know that Shaista would say good bye, for good, before being given a happy farewell in palanquin.
