SRINAGAR: The DAAD Helmut-Schmidt Scholarship programme is offering a fully funded scholarship in collaboration with selected German universities, under the guidance and policies of the German Federal Foreign Office.
The scholarship offers master’s programmes in seven disciplines, providing an opportunity and platform for students from developing and emerging nations. The available courses include Social Protection, Development and Governance, Public Policy, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Management in Non-Profit Organisations. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is July 31, 2025.
The eligibility criteria include that applicants should have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with relevant prior experience, volunteering, and affiliation with NGOs and charities. Applicants can opt for two of the seven courses.
The scholarship includes an array of benefits, involving a monthly stipend of £900 (Rs 81,450 INR), full health coverage, rent subsidies, allowance for travel, and partner and child allowance after completion of a 4-month language course.
The documents required include, a CV, language proficiency certificate, certificate of transcript, and a letter of recommendation.
