SRINAGAR: Gold prices rose by Rs 500 to Rs 99,000 per 10 grams in the national capital on Wednesday, tracking gains in the international market, as per the All India Sarafa Association.

Gold of 99.5 percent purity also increased by Rs 500 to Rs 98,500 per 10 grams, inclusive of all taxes.
Silver prices saw a sharp rise as well, jumping Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,00,000 per kg. In the previous session, silver had declined by Rs 1,370 to Rs 99,000 per kg.
In global markets, spot gold went up by USD 23.16, or 0.7%, to USD 3,323.87 per ounce.
According to Kaynat Chainwala, AVP Commodity Research at Kotak Securities, “Gold prices traded positive as markets await the release of the FOMC meeting minutes and speeches from US Federal Reserve officials for further policy signals.”
