SRINAGAR: Almost a dozen schools participated in the Annual Inter-School Seerat Conference, hosted by the Green Valley Educational Institute on April 23, 2022. The participants spoke on Social Etiquettes in Islam: The teachings of Prophet Muhammad PBUH.

In the competition, the first position was awarded to Ms Uqba Ishfaq of RP School Srinagar, the second position was taken by Ms Rukhsar Hilal of Green Valley Educational Institute. The third position was shared by two students – Ms Bushra Anjum of Iqbal Memorial Institute Girls wing and Ms Areeba Javid of SRM Welkin School, Sopore.

The jury comprised Prof Shad Hussain Andrabi, Head Department of Arabic, the University of Kashmir, who was also the Chief Guest; Mr Syed Suhaib Hassan and Maulvi Khurshid Ahmad Nadvi. All the participants were felicitated by the Chief Guest and the other dignitaries.

“The conference helped students understand the real purpose of life and made them aware of social etiquettes in the light of Islam,” a statement issued by the management said. “We plan to hold many such conferences in future for the moral and mental development of students.”
