The overall supervision of the Yatra was overseen by the SDM Mahore, who accompanied the pilgrims all the way to the lake site. Following a night’s stopover in Sungri, the Yatra continued on August 20th, eventually resting for the night in Sari, where an abundance of devotees fervently participated.

Remarkably, the district administration of Reasi managed to ensure a stable water supply in these remote mountainous terrains. Additionally, to curb open defecation, a sanitary complex was installed for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Yatra registration counters, along with medical examinations to ensure fitness, were set up by the district administration in Sungri. Local residents from villages such as Malikot, Singlikote, Sarsote, Mamankote, Nandkote, and others also joined the Yatra, fostering a strong sense of community participation.

On August 21st, the Yatra proceeded from Sari through Jadi Wali, Gourban, and Kouser Gali, culminating at the Kousernag Sarovar. Here, 1000 devotees performed Pooja/Havan and took a sacred dip in the pristine waters of Kousernag Lake.

Security forces from both the Reasi and Kulgam regions accompanied the devotees, ensuring their safety throughout the Yatra. The devotees expressed their gratitude for the meticulous arrangements made by the district administration of Reasi, the Army, and the J&K Police, who worked tirelessly to orchestrate this Yatra despite numerous challenges.
