Srinagar: Over 250 fresh recruits were on Saturday inducted into army’s Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JKLIR) Regiment at a passing out parade held here in Srinagar.

New recruits of the Jammu Kashmir Light Infantry Regiment (JKLIR) take part in a passing out parade at the army base camp in Srinagar, on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

The 259  recruits, hailing from the state, were inducted into the regiment after training of 12 months in various activities including tactics, firing, physical fitness, and mental robustness, at the regimental centre on the outskirts of Srinagar city.

The parade was reviewed by Commandant, JKLIR Regimental Centre, Brigadier and was attended by parents and family members of the recruits along with civil and military officers.
