SRINAGAR: The Indian Air-force is inviting applications for the Agniveer Vayu posts under the Agnipath Scheme. The opportunity is open for unmarried male and female candidates to experience a military lifestyle for a period of four years.

The eligibility criteria for students from Science field includes completion of 10+2/Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics, and English, achieving a minimum of 50 per cent overall and 50 per cent in English. Or, completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering in a relevant field with a minimum of 50 per cent overall and 50 per cent in English, either in the Diploma or 10+2 level.
The criteria for students from Non-Science Subjects includes completion of 10+2/Intermediate in any stream, with a minimum of 50 per cent overall and 50 per cent in English. Or, completed a two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects, achieving a minimum of 50 per cent overall.
The upper age limit as of the date of enrolment is 21 years. Candidates born between January 1, 2005 and July 1, 2008 are eligible.
The candidates will get a monthly package including other benefits like clothing, travel allowances, medical facilities, and risk allowances as applicable.
