The application portal opened on June 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM and will close on July 10, 2025 at 5:00 PM. The entire process is digital, and no physical forms will be accepted. Candidates are required to submit complete applications, including scanned documents and an application fee of Rs 100, within the stipulated timeline.

The academic arrangement will be valid for one academic session only, excluding vacation periods. The engagement will be based on need, merit, and preference, with automatic termination at the end of the session.

Applicants can apply for vacancies in either Jammu or Kashmir Division or both, and selection will be carried out through a merit-based allocation system managed by designated Nodal Principals. The subjects available for appointment span more than 50 disciplines including English, Political Science, Chemistry, Computer Applications, Biotechnology, Mathematics, Urdu, Journalism, and more.

To be eligible for the post of Lecturer, PTI, or Librarian, candidates must hold a Master’s degree with at least 55 per cent marks (50 per cent for reserved categories) and NET/SLET/SET or PhD qualification. For Teaching Assistants, a postgraduate degree with the same minimum marks is required. There are various courses in which the vacancies are available.

As per the official notice, candidates who have been engaged in the same college for two consecutive sessions will not be eligible for re-engagement in the same institution this year, unless a change of station is involved.

The final selection will be based on verified academic scores and experience, and the allocation of colleges will be determined systemically through preference locking on the portal. Selected candidates must confirm their willingness online and report to their assigned colleges within three working days of issuance of the offer, failing which the engagement will be cancelled.

The department has also instructed applicants to remain updated through the official portal and WhatsApp channel operated by Nodal Principals, as no personal communication or office visits will be entertained.

Applicants are advised to carefully read the official terms and conditions before proceeding with the application. The manual for online application is available on the same portal.
