SRINAGAR: Several areas of Kashmir will face scheduled power shutdowns on different dates this month due to maintenance work on 33 kV transmission lines, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) said on Monday.
According to KPDCL, power supply to Fethapora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Shairpathri, Kachan and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 8 due to a shutdown of the 33 kV Alasteng-Nagbal (Gadoora Tapline).
The 33 kV Kanipora-Keller line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 10 and 14, affecting supply to Keller, Gatipora, Moshward, Maspora, Kathahalan, Kanipora, Ganowpora, Nadpora, Balapora, Drabgam, Shadimarg, Sangerwani and Dompora and adjoining areas.
Similarly, a shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam line on September 10 from 8 am to 2 pm will affect Budgam, Sabdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Ompora, SIDCO Housing Colony, Railway Station, NIFT and adjoining areas.
Power supply to Kokernag, Vailoo, Dandipora and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 9 and 14 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Lisser-Kokernag line.
The 33 kV Lisser-Hillar line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 12, affecting Hiller, Shankerpora, Larkipora and Aarkashipora and adjoining areas.
The Lisser-Dooru 33 kV line will be shut from 8 am to 2 pm on September 14 and 17, affecting Dooru, Verinag, Hiller, Chowgund and adjoining areas.
A shutdown of the 33 kV Mattan-Gopalpora line on September 15 from 8 am to 2 pm will affect Gopalpora, Kheribal, Kawarigam and adjoining areas.
Power supply to Achabal, Shangus, Nowgam, Khundroo, Cherpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 19 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Mattan-Achabal line.
