In a statement, the delegation addressed concerns over the slow progress of the smart city project in Srinagar and unannounced power cuts that are causing financial losses.

“During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner attentively listened to our issues and assured us that the concerns of the business community would be given priority. He informed us that the smart city projects in Lal Chowk will be completed by the end of this month, and other projects will also be expedited,” stated Shahdar.

Regarding power cuts, Shahdar mentioned that the Divisional Commissioner explained that the interruptions in certain areas are a result of the installation of smart meters. Once the process is completed, Kashmir will benefit from uninterrupted power supply. (KNO)
