SRINAGAR: LIC (Life Insurance Corporation of India) is inviting online applications for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme for the year 2022.
The applications form are already out and the last date to apply is December 18, 2022.
The LIC Scholarship scheme is available in two forms as in the LIC Regular Scholarships Scheme and LIC Special Scholarships for Girl Child.
The scholarship scheme is accessible for all the students including those having financial instability and belonging to economically backward areas.
The LIC Regular Scholarship Scheme includes a number of 20 scholarships for full course, 10 each for boys and girls per divisional centre of LIC.
Eligible candidates include those who have passed the class 10th or 12th examination in the year 2021-2022 with at least 60% of marks.
The grant will be provided to those who are willing to pursue higher education in a government recognized institution and are willing to pursue the field of Medicine, Engineering or any other discipline.
The selected candidate will be awarded Rs. 20,000/- per year as a rate of scholarship.
The LIC Special Scholarship for Girl Child encourages education to the girl child. It includes 10 scholarships per divisional centre of LIC.
The duration for this scholarship lasts for two years. Eligible candidates include those who have passed the class 10th or 12th examination in the year 2021-2022 with at least 60% of marks.
The scholarship will be granted to those pursuing higher studies through government registered institution.
The selection of candidates for both the scholarships will be on merit base.
