He had been living in India for 17 years and was found with an expired visa. He was brought from Srinagar by Jammu and Kashmir Police for return to Pakistan, PTI reported.

Meanwhile, 224 people holding No Obligation to Return to India (NORI) visas crossed into India via the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Attari, while 139 Pakistani nationals went the other way.

Among them was Monika Rajani, 35, a Pakistani passport holder with NORI and Long-Term Visa (LTV). She crossed with her five-year-old daughter, citing urgency amid fears of border closure. Married to a Hindu man from Vijayawada nine years ago, she was received by her family at the border.

She said the crossing took nearly three hours due to customs and immigration checks and was difficult for children in the heat. Before heading to Vijayawada, she and her family planned a visit to the Golden Temple.

Pak nationals from across the country are being brought to Amritsar to be expatriated back to their home country. Similarly, many Indians have returned from Pakistan after the Indian government’s order.
