SRINAGAR: On the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terror attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to those killed and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.

In a post on X, he said the nation remembers the innocent lives lost in the “gruesome” attack and will never forget them, adding that India stands united in grief and determination while reiterating that terrorism will never succeed.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also paid homage to the victims, describing terrorism as the “greatest enemy of humanity” and reaffirming India’s policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism and its supporters.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh likewise remembered the victims of the April 22, 2025 attack, conveying condolences to their families and stating that India has consistently responded to terrorism with firmness and resolve. He added that any attempt to weaken national unity will be met with decisive action.
Vice President CP Radhakrishnan also paid tributes, reiterating that India remains committed to fighting terrorism in all its forms.
The remarks refer to the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam, in which 26 tourists were killed.
